Kate Bosworth Vanity Fair Academy Awards Party Hair by Laini Reeves for Couture Colour!

In Uncategorized on 2011 at 0000

Kate Bosworth made a stunning appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in a Prada dress and hair designed by Laini Reeves for Couture Colour Pequi Oil.  What was Laini’s inspiration?   The ornate Prada dress. “Kate is a classic beauty, I wanted her hair look to match – simple and clean” Laini Reeves Celebrity hairstylist for Couture Colour Pequi Oil.

How did she create Kate’s look?    Laini wanted to create a simple and polished look for Kate at Vanity Fair Academy Awards Party. To accomplish this look, Laini first applied the Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment to wet hair thoroughly applying the treatment from root to tip.  The formula absorbs instantly without weighing it down while giving the hair natural luster and shine without diminishing Kate’s gorgeous blonde colour. After the hair was dry, Laini then backcombed the roots with a teasing comb and then pulled the hair back into a ponytail using a soft Mason Pearson brush.  Once the ponytail was fastened, Laini then divided the ponytail in two parts wrapping each around each other to create a rope effect fastening the entire look with a bobby pin.

Amy Adams Vanity Fair Academy Awards Party Hair by Laini Reeves for Couture Colour!

In Uncategorized on 2011 at 0000

Amy Adams channels her inner Bridget Bardot with her glamourous hair and sexy Vivienne Westwood dress.  Creating Amy’s hair for the event was Laini Reeves for Couture Color.  What was Lani’s inspriation?  Amy’s Vivian Westwood dress. “Amy is sexy and feminine and we wanted her look to match” Laini Reeves Celebrity hairstylist for Couture Colour Pequi Oil.

How she got the look:  Laini wanted to create a soft and sexy look that was a bit untidy for the Vanity Fair Academy Awards Party. To accomplish this look, Laini first applied a dime size of the CoutureColour Pequi Oil Treatment to wet hair.  The formula absorbs instantly and instead of weighing hair down actually makes hair expand giving fullness to Amy’s locks.  The Pequi Oil Treatment protects the hair from heat, while still giving the hair a natural luster and shine. Once applied to Amy’s hair, Laini blow-dried hair and wrapped it around a 2 and ½ inch curling iron in different directions to add texture and volume.  She then pulled all the hair back into a loose wave on the top of her head.  She then pulled pieces around her hairline to frame her face Amy’s face.

Penelope Cruz wowed an audience of onlookers around the world with her old Hollywood glamour styling and Georgio Armani gown at this years Academy Awards ceremony.  One of the main elements of her look was created by St. Tropez Tan expert Matthew Van Leeuwen.  To achieve Penelope’s beautiful glow, Matthew gave Penelope a bronzed glow with a modest shimmer to complement her elegant, sophisticated OSCAR look.  Added Matthew, I wanted to give penelope a nice subtle glow so I combined an equal amount of St. Tropez One Night Only Instant Body Glow Lotion with the St. Tropez Rose Skin Illuminator and applied it all over the upper body.  Next, I dusted St. Tropez Bronzing Rocks over her shoulders, back and decolletage to finish it off!

For anyone who has reservations about consuming massive amounts of chocolate, the alternatives can be just as satisfying.  Emerging as the next breed of chocolate treats to tame insatiable choco-urges, topical coco laden treats are just as indulgent as their ingestible counterparts.  they treat the skin and leave behind intoxicating notes of nature’s happy enhancer.

What could possibly be sweeter than chocolate?  How about chocolate partnered with sugar to gently remove and recondition skin?  Offering on of the sweetest at-home skin exfoliators is Chocolate Smoothie Body Scrub from Mainely Coles.  This chocolate smoothie alleviates dry, flaky skin with its uniquely natural ingredients.  A careful balance of organic sugar cane, cocoa butter, rice bran and a touch of chocolate in all the right places invigorates and exfoliates while leaving skin with a healthy glow.  If you’re old enough to remember a soda fountain or have had the pleasure of enjoying a chocolate smoothie at a real soda fountain/drugstore, you will not notice any difference in the cool consumable treat and this skin smoother.  Once the top is removed, the air around you will fill with a glorious nostalgic aroma of an innocent yesteryear.  From experience, the sugar-rice bran skin slougher works wonders to make skin glow.  The downside for me was not knowing when to stop and my glorious glass jar no longer runneth over!  To enjoy this smoothie for yourself, visit www.mainleycoles.com.

To top any chocolate exfoliation treat is the unforgettable Peruvian Cocoa Azul Bliss Cream from Bella Lucce Globally Inspired Beauty.  This bliss cream offers some of the greatest emulsifiers with pure cocoa butter and organic shea butter.  To add fantasy to bliss, Bella Lucce created this with sunflower seed oil, caprylic, olive oil, certified organic shea butter, cocoa and a hint of sweetness.  The major draws to this product have to be the French Cocoa Absolute, dark chocolate and blueberry extracts.  Each use holds the promise of deep moisture, glowing skin, anti-oxidant protection and enjoying an intoxicating natural cocoa fragrance for hours on end.  My first encounter with this was alluring enough for a second visit that first day.  The actual cream looks like a finely whipped chocolate mousse, smells like an epicurean dream and will take you to a fantasy chocolate wonderland.  Indulge yourself in a care-free manner by visiting www.bellalucce.com.
