For the premiere of “Black Rock” at the Sundance Film Festival I prepped Kate’s face by using a combination of different Votre Vu products to create the perfect canvas ready for the makeup application.

I started off by massaging “ATTENTIVE Creme de Jour for Sensitive Skin” all over the face and neck. This cream is great because it calms the skin and replenishes moisture – especially in these weather conditions.

To keep the under-eyes moisturized, I lightly smoothed into the skin “Tout le Monde Antioxidant Eye Gelee.”

Next I applied Votre Vu Sensational Eyes Eye Primer in Medium on lids for a perfect way to keep eye shadow on all day – the perfect base.

To finish prepping the face for makeup I dabbed a drop of the “Attentive Serum Delicat Pour Le Visage” into the skin and massaged starting at the center of the face and moving outward.  Kate has amazing skin so she really doesn’t need a heavy foundation. To set the foundation I dusted onVotre Vu Mineral Powder in Light all over the face.

For the premiere I wanted Kate’s makeup to be fresh and natural but with a bold classic red lip. The perfect base for the lipstick is the Votre Vu Champagne Kisses Lip Treatment. I didn’t line Kate’s lips so the Champagne Kisses pulled double duty by moisturizing and preventing the lipstick from bleeding out.

Today with Kate we started off by prepping the face similar as I did last evening. Kate was doing a full day of press for her movie “Black Rock” here at Sundance so we needed the skin to be extremely hydrated to prevent the makeup from looking heavy…especially in this freezing dry air.

For Dreama Walker’s premiere of “Compliance”, I went over her unwashed hair lightly with Leonor Greyl’s Serum de Soie Sublimateur so that I could go through and re-curl the hair without damaging. I created a soft beach wave with a braid in the front, which is a good way to keep the hair off her face.

For Helen Hunt’s look for the premiere of “The Surrogate”, I used Leonor Greyl’s Mousse Au Lotus Volumatrice and the Laque Souple light hairspray to lightly blow dry the hair.

Being the second day without washing, I lightly dampened the hair then sparingly applied the Mousse Au Lotus Volumatrice to define the hair with a loose wave.

I lightly sprayed the hair with Laque Souple to keep it intact then added the Serum de Soie Sublimateur to the ends and she was ready. The look lasted through snow and wind!

Traditionally, products containing keratin are thick in texture.  Keratin Thickening Volumizer, surprisingly, captures the the best of keratin for transforming limp locks into lovely looks in one simple application.  It was so easy (a word I do not generally like to sue in reference to beauty products), it was hard to believe.

Solid Start.  Volumizer alone does not a good look make.  Start with a trustworthy shampoo and conditioner.  My choice was Simply Smooth Keratin Replenishing Shampoo and Conditioner.  The results are always just what I like and my hair is nourished when I get out of the shower.  Another plus has to be the lovely fragrance that ignites my surroundings.
